            Wisconsin Built, a manufacturer of custom casework and restaurant/retail store fixtures has an opening in our Production Control Department.  Our Production Control group is responsible planning, coordinating and directing the manufacturing of our products. 

This entry level position will be responsible for the creation and releasing of work orders, and administrative duties that will include issuing material to work orders and closing jobs when necessary to support the production control department.  

 

Salary based on experience and expertise.  We are willing to train.  

     

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule / release work orders as needed to the production floor.

  • Assist the Production Control Team in all areas including administrative duties.

  • Regularly view and respond to all communications, prioritize and notify the appropriate people as needed when issues arise with orders that are being scheduled / released.

  • Distribute the Work Center Priority lists to all work centers on a weekly basis.

  • Works to coordinate schedules that are satisfactory to both the appropriate work centers and the shipping schedule – ensuring all dates for orders meet the scheduled completion dates when performing the scheduling of the jobs.

  • Updates the production coordinator if issues arise with any min / max parts to ensure orders are placed when needed to meet the scheduled completion dates.

  • Ensures optimum handoff is provided to manufacturing supervision from all organizational functions in achieving customer service commitments and product build schedules.

  • Complete Pull Sheet and Issuing of Material daily to ensure material is issued in a timely manner so jobs can be closed out.

  • Perform Manufacture receipts when necessary to keep inventory levels accurate and product available systematically for use in the production jobs.

  • Perform closing of jobs when necessary as a backup.

  • Print labels as needed for production.

  • Distribute and collect any paperwork from the shop floor for processing.

  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum one (1) year manufacturing experience preferred, but on required

  • Must have good computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Products

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Well organized and strong attention to detail
