
Job Summary

Wisconsin Built is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design and engineering principles, coupled with proven leadership abilities and expertise in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Cabinet Vision software. This role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the engineering process, from initial concept and design through to manufacturing and implementation. The Engineering Manager will play a critical role in driving innovation, ensuring quality, and optimizing efficiency within our operations.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the engineering team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.

Oversee the design and development of new products and improvements to existing products using Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD and Inventor.

Utilize Cabinet Vision software for the design, detailing, and manufacturing preparation of cabinetry and related components.

Establish and maintain engineering standards, best practices, and workflows.

Collaborate closely with account management, project management, manufacturing, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (AWI) and regulations.

Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in design software, manufacturing technologies, and industry trends.

Foster a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.

Prepare and present technical reports and presentations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) required.

Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in engineering design and development.

Proven experience managing and leading an engineering team.

Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor software for 2D and 3D design.

Extensive experience with Cabinet Vision software for cabinet design, detailing, and CNC output a plus.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 – 4:30 and 8:00 – Noon on Friday.
