Job Summary

            Wisconsin Built, a manufacturer of custom commercial and residential casework, and restaurant/retail store fixtures has a leadership opportunity in the Production - Finishing Department.  As a Team leader you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of all aspects of the woodwork finishing industry and maintain the skills of Team Members in areas of quality, efficiency, and Teamwork.

Duties:

  • Coordinate the activities of a variety of manual and high-production finishing methods applied to a diverse cross section of woodwork products.

  • Understand and recommend finishing materials and methods appropriate to the end esthetic and functional use.

  • Knowledgeable of all manual finishing techniques, through high production UV finishing line (SuperFiCi & Makor)

  • Evaluate and broaden the skill levels of an 8-10 person team to allow flexibility of assignments, promoting a variety of work, job satisfaction, and production capacity.

  • Coordinate department goals by utilizing the ERP system and the reality of what is coming through the shop floor.

  • Meet with finish room suppliers and objectively evaluate products.

  • Instill an expectation of high quality, consistent with a productive Lean manufacturing environment.

  • Know and practice all aspects of regulatory and practical safety rules and regulations.

  • Evidence of finishing materials and process knowledge

  • Place a high value on proactive planning of various products, equipment, and talents.

  • Ability to visualize near and mid-range workloads to achieve both tight deadlines and efficient production.
