Job Summary:

​

Wisconsin Built is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented casework and fixture salesperson to drive sales of our custom and standard millwork products within the restaurant, retail and entertainment industries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of these markets, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process including handoff to the internal service team.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Generation:

    • Actively prospect and identify potential restaurant, retail and entertainment clients (independent operators, chains, franchises, design firms specializing in, and contractors).

    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.

    • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client requirements for millwork solutions, including bars, banquettes, host stands, casework, fixtures and other custom elements.

    • Present and demonstrate the features and benefits of our millwork products and services, tailoring presentations to the specific needs of the industry (e.g., durability for high-traffic areas, aesthetic appeal, compliance with health and safety regulations).

    • Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotes, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and profitability.

    • Effectively negotiate pricing and terms to close sales.

    • Follow up on leads and proposals in a timely and professional manner.

  • Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers within the industry, including owners, franchisees, designers, architects, and contractors.

    • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for clients, providing expert knowledge on millwork options and solutions.

    • Proactively communicate with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns.

    • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build relationships and generate leads.

  • Product Knowledge & Industry Understanding:

    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our millwork products, materials, manufacturing processes, and capabilities.

    • Stay up to date on current trends, styles, and innovations in restaurant, retail and entertainment design and millwork.

    • Understand the specific needs and challenges of the restaurant, retail and entertainment  industries, including budget constraints, timelines, operational requirements, and regulatory compliance.

    • Collaborate with internal teams (design, production, estimating) to ensure accurate and timely project execution and handoff after purchase order is accepted.

 

  • Reporting & Administration:

    • Set targets for and maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project status in CRM or other designated systems.

    • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the President.

    • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions.

    • Develop and maintain sales tools to be used by Customer Service & Account Managers.

    • Work with Management to develop marketing plans and programs aimed at broadening range of customers.

Qualifications:

  • 7+  years of proven sales experience, preferably within the commercial construction, architectural products, or restaurant supply industries.

  • Strong understanding of the restaurant retail and entertainment industries, including its unique needs, challenges, and key players.

  • Experience selling custom or semi-custom products is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.  

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.  

  • Optional: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
